It all began when William Jack Degel had a vision of opening a restaurant of the highest quality steaks and fine dining for the world to enjoy in honor of his great uncle’s steak house, “Jack’s” in the early 30’s. So in 1996 he began making his dream come true by opening Uncle Jack’s Steakhouse in Bayside, NY. After over 15 years and opening two other restaurants in New York City, he expanded this dream by launching Jack’s Shack.
